Everyone knows that dollar stores make shopping more affordable and easier than any other place. You can literally get tons of stuff and they all just cost a dollar and some tax! And apparently all of the dollar stores out there have been making big bucks as the pandemic has drawn on.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, people were hunting for similar items that they would find at a local grocery and supply store for a cheaper cost—making places like Dollar Tree and Dollar General popular. Although these stores have been here for a long time, no one has appreciated them more than now and it shows. Now that dollar stores across the country have gotten the spotlight they so desperately longed for, they are thinking of branching out of their $1.00 fit’s all comfort zone.

Trying to appeal to a larger audience and get people from all walks of life to be interested in the great deals, Dollar General is launching something they like to call Pop-Shelf. This is a $5.00 or under pop-up store that is meant to appeal to upscale customers. These pop-up stores are starting in places like Nashville and other big city suburbs where they would get the most bang for their buck. Alongside Dollar General’s aim to get more customers and to increase their sales, Dollar Tree is creating a sort of rewards program that will make you keep coming back. They hope to get that rolling out soon along with fresh produce in their stores.

With everything going on in the world, I have found dollar stores to be my lifesaver when it comes to at home projects and passing time. They make everything affordable and easy. And if dollar stores aren’t really your vibe, you should walk into one nowadays! They’re filled with different things that I bet you didn’t know you needed.
